Yep, I’m nearly 40. So to celebrate fab music from the last 40 years I wanted to compile a personal top 40. This blog is to explore the best music and come up with the perfect list by 1st May 2008. A near impossible task, so I’ve set the following rules (which are actually going to make it harder!)
- Only 1 album per year, starting from 1968
- Year must be the copyright year of the album, not the year I remember it from
- Classical music is year of recording, not year the piece was written (I’m not THAT old)
- Can include ANY type of music
- Can, maybe, perhaps include compilations (but only good ones – no sad-bastard Now that’s what I call…) – is that cheating??!!
